Adrian VanKeuren Phone: 540-931-6507 Email: [email protected] Introducing Scholarships:
When you speak, I do my best to listen. So, I’ve listened (with my heart) when some of you have said “I wish I could afford to attend more of your offerings”. (Sorry to those saying, “I wish you were in my area!” I’m staying put! I’m debating about allowing workshops to be attended both live AND online, but we’ll see…) In an effort to reach more people that are sincerely interested in my teachings, I’m going to start accepting scholarship applications for: general classes, workshops, and specialty series of classes. Scholarship students will be kept completely anonymous and will be given a “class pack card” for the value of whatever their specific scholarship is for. However, scholarship students will be held at a slightly different personal standard; I must see that your efforts to learn and practice the arts of tai chi and/or qigong match the level of effort I am putting in to teaching you. Scholarship students would do well to practice consciously on their own at least 3x week in order to ensure that progress is being made and the effort noticed by me. To apply for a scholarship for general classes, a series of classes, or a workshop: -Send Adrian an email at: [email protected] with the subject heading “scholarship application” -Each email/application should contain the following information:
Class Descriptions:
Practical Tai Chi description: The Practical Tai Chi classes are a blend of Qigong and principle tai chi skills, meant to give students a solid foundation of body positioning, strength, and balance building, and tai chi as a moving meditation. These classes can be stand-alone, or used to build skills before joining on of the Yang Form classes. Yang Form Practice class description: This class will focus on the Yang 37 Posture Short Form, and is a continuation of classes held summer 2020. Anyone that attended those classes, or that needs a refresher in the form are welcome to join. Those without prior experience should contact Adrian before attending. Tai Chi benefits: Tai Chi has the potential to regulate blood pressure, build muscle, and increase strength and stability in all areas of life. Tai Chi can also decrease stress, anxiety, and depression while improving mood, energy, and stamina. Increased blood and chi flow can lessen overall pain. ### |
