What is Tai Chi

Tai Chi & Qigong may be particularly suited for anyone that experiences:

Tai Chi is, at its core, a movement medicine.  Originally a martial art originating in China, tai chi combines slow, continuous, mindful movements with deep breathing.  Posture and balance are emphasized in tai chi, as are uniting the entire body in working together to support each movement made.   The physical movements are low-impact and can be done standing, seated, or modified to meet each individual practitioner at their current mobility/fitness level; because of this, tai chi is a particularly gentle exercise suitable for everyone, no matter their current level of fitness and mobility.

Who can take Tai Chi

EVERYONE!
Tai Chi is very gentle in movement and can be modified based on your own mobility.You can do Tai Chi standing, seated, or with support. Tai Chi can accommodate everyone in almost any condition and provide great benefits even in a short period of time.

Adrian VanKeuren's Bio:

Adrian is a tai chi and qigong instructor that is passionate about making Classic Chinese Medicine philosophies, movements, and energetic principles accessible to all. She is the founder and executive director of MoveMentation, a forming nonprofit with the mission of getting high-level movement classes into the hands of all. She holds accreditation with The American Tai Chi and Qigong Association, practices Medical Qigong and offers Biomat and Red Light therapies to clients of her energy medicine practice under Tai Chi Healing Energies. She is also the creator of 5-Elemental Lotus Healing, a newer frequency of energy medicine that she is beginning to share with the world.
 
Adrian has fully embraced her nerdiness, and you can usually find her either teaching, taking classes, or curled up on the Biomat with a book in her hands. She also enjoys spending time with friends, usually over a cup of tea. If you can’t find Adrian, it’s probably because she’s out hiking and communing with trees and nature, or kayaking with her dad in the warmer weather.
